With funding from We wonder Company, Kulika Uganda is implementing a project to train Coffee farmersin
Regenerative Agriculture in Sironko, Buduuda and Manafwa districts.

Kulika is seeking dynamic, resilient and experienced individual to join our team for the position of;

1. Position: Project Officer
Reporting to: Project Manager
Location: Mbale, Sironko, Kapchorwa and Manafwa Districts
Duration: 15 Months

Purpose of the Job
The Project Field Officer shall take lead in the implementation of the project. They will work with Coffee
Farmers and training providers to facilitate regenerative approaches, promote innovation, and support the
growth of group-based farming projects, contributing to sustainable livelihoods in the target communities.
The officer will also support the development and implementation of Kulika Uganda strategies for skills
development income generation and livelihood improvement. He/she will plan, direct and coordinate
these activities and ensure the growth of coffee farming.

Key Functions/Responsibilities
• Project Implementation & Coordination; Lead planning and execution of farmer training
and entrepreneurship activities.
• Sustainability & Business Development; Support the growth and sustainability of income –
generating groups and enterprises.
• Product Marketing & Sales Promotion; Guide product development, branding, and market
access strategies.
• Community Engagement & Mobilization; Ensure inclusive participation of youth, local
leaders, and communities in project activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships; Build strong networks with government, private
sector, artisans, and training institutions.
• Monitoring, Reporting & Knowledge Management; Document project progress, success
stories, and lessons learned; ensure timely reporting and knowledge sharing.

Job Specifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in implementing coffee related projects, preferably within the NGO
or development sector.
• Motorcycle riding skills with a valid riding permit is desired
• Demonstrated experience working with coffee farmers and cooperatives is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to design and implement community-based projects within tight timelines.
• Practical understanding of Key Farmer training, vocational skilling, and regenerative agriculture
approaches is added advantage.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in rural areas with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of local languages spoken in the project areas is desired.
