PART-TIME SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT-
PERSONAL BRAND GROWTH
Uganda – Remote
This role needs to be filled quickly. Apply ASAP.
I’m looking for a smart, reliable young person to help grow my personal brand across social
media and my website. This is not a business-page or product-selling job. The goal is to build
my name, credibility and visibility as a professional voice in African business, research,
travel, development, sourcing and local connections, reaching people in Uganda, Africa and
internationally.
Growth must be 100% organic. No fake followers, bots, purchased likes or comments,
engagement pods, follow-for-follow schemes or any other artificial tactics. I want real
people, real engagement and a real audience.
You don’t need to be an expert. Students, beginners and people with some basic experiences
are all encouraged to apply.
Platforms you’ll help with
LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Reddit, Pinterest and my
website
What you’ll do
• Turn my voice notes, photos and videos into posts, captions and short videos that
reflect my voice and personal brand
• Post and schedule content across all the platforms
• Write and publish blog posts on my website, based on my notes, ideas and voice
messages
• Keep the website updated with new content – blogs
• Make simple Canva graphics
• Edit short videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts)
• Reply to normal comments and messages using my guidelines
• Suggest content ideas and engage genuinely with relevant accounts and communities
• Reuse one piece of content across several platforms, including turning social posts
into blog posts and blog posts into social posts
I’ll send you the material each week and check important posts, including blog posts, before
they go out.
Must-haves
• You must own your own personal computer (laptop/desktop) and a smartphone. This
is compulsory.
• You must agree to grow the accounts organically only. Using bots, fake accounts,
bought engagement or automated spam will end the arrangement immediately.
• Must maintain high Confidentiality and privacy: private information must never
be shared.
• Reliable access to the internet
• Simple, clear written English
Who I’m looking for
• A university student, recent graduate or self-taught creator (IT, media,
communication, marketing or journalism is a plus)
• Someone active on social media who can write clear, simple blog posts
• Organised, creative and quick to learn
• Able to represent someone else’s voice and personality, not their own
• Honest and trustworthy with private information
The arrangement
This starts as a 1–3-month trial so we can see how we work together. If the work is good and
the accounts grow, the pay and responsibilities will be reviewed and can increase. All
accounts, content and access remain mine. You will be asked to confirm the confidentiality
terms in writing before starting.
