THE ROLE
You will handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation, including:
- Drafting pleadings, applications, submissions and correspondence
- Conducting legal research and case analysis
- Appearing in the Magistrates’ Courts and High Court
- Managing client files, court diaries and deadlines
- Supporting partners at hearings, mediations and negotiations
REQUIREMENTS
- Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with a valid practicing certificate
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post-qualification experience (at least two practicing certifi-cates)
- Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English
- High professional integrity and attention to detail
Advantageous points
- Experience in commercial, land, employment or debt-recovery litigation
- Familiarity with e-filing and court practice directions
