About the opportunity
Jiranihood is looking for a recent graduate with a creative eye and a curious mind to join our team as a Graduate Trainee in Brand Design.
This is an opportunity to learn by doing, work around real brands and gain practical exposure to how strategy becomes visual expression.
We are not only looking for someone who knows how to use design software.
We are looking for someone who notices things.
Someone who can think, experiment, question, draw, design and tell stories visually.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A recent graduate
- Creative and diligent
- Visually curious
- Detail-oriented
- Experimental and imaginative
- Passionate about storytelling
- Willing to learn and receive feedback
- Able to work collaboratively
- Interested in African brands and the role creativity can play in shaping them
And one more thing…
We particularly value people who have a relationship with traditional art.
If you paint, draw, sketch, illustrate or explore other forms of traditional art as a hobby, show us.
We believe creative thinking is bigger than software.
What we expect from you
Come ready to learn.
Take feedback.
Ask questions.
Bring ideas.
Be diligent.

And most importantly, care about the work.
Where this can lead
This is a non-paid graduate trainee programme.

We are looking for people who could potentially become part of the Jiranihood team.
Perform well, demonstrate your ability, contribute to the work and there may be an employment opportunity at the end of the programme.
Employment is not guaranteed and will depend on performance, suitability and available opportunities.
